Sometimes the thing that changes your life isn't something you planned.

My path to woodworking and leatherworking started after being injured while serving in Iraq and eventually retiring from the Army because of those injuries.

Coming home meant figuring out what came next.

I found part of that answer in the shop.

There was something about working with my hands- the dull pounding of a leather mallet, the sound of a saw cutting through hardwood, and the concentration required to turn a raw piece of material into something useful.

When I'm working, the noise of everything else gets a little quieter.

The world slows down.

And for a while, there's just the work in front of me.

What started as something that gave me purpose became something I wanted to share with other people.

That's how Bulletproof Custom Designs came to be.

Today, i personally make every piece that carries the Bulletproof star. There isn't a production line or a warehouse full of inventory behind this business.

Just a craftsman, a shop, some good leather and hardwood- and a belief that things worth owning are worth making right.
